November was a pivotal month for the Marketing Bounty as curators worked extensively to establish operational structures, expand ecosystem engagement, and launch outreach efforts that align with Polkadot's strategic goals.
Bounty-Wide Efforts
The Marketing Bounty is now live, actively accepting proposals and funding initiatives. To streamline operations and ensure transparency, curators:
- Designed templates for proposals, budgets, and time tracking to ensure efficient processes.
- Implemented Notion for bounty and task management.
- Started establishing a connection with the Polkadot Community Foundation (PCF) to integrate KYC/KYB services and improve collaboration accountability.
Ecosystem Engagement
Outreach efforts targeted key Polkadot ecosystem stakeholders, fostering collaboration with Mandala, Bifrost, Acurast, Hydration, Origin Trail, Nova Wallet, Scytale, Parity, and PMEI. To further enhance engagement:
- Communication channels were set up to make collaboration easier and share updates and opportunities with ecosystem participants to leverage and amplify positive developments in the ecosystem
Strategic Outreach and Partnerships
The Marketing Bounty launched extensive external engagements:
- Stablecoin Adoption: Following the lead of Velocity Labs, discussions are being held with newly onboarded exchanges that have integrated Polkadot Assethub to support marketing efforts on new partnerships. The current focus is in the LATAM region, with the intention to expand as new exchanges are onboarded.
- Agency Outreach: Reached out to over 30 agencies of various services to scope and negotiate campaigns across social media, communications & news outlets (PR), content creation, campaigns, and activations.g. Partnerships were finalized with Growgami and WideWorlds.AI for engaging user generated content.
- Public Relations: Issued two Requests for Proposals for a PR firm and Community Managers, with submissions under review. Progressed on an RFP for enhancing Polkadot's Wikipedia page, including engaging with Wikipedia editors for guidance on best practices.
Key Ecosystem Contributions
Curators have participated in 42 proposal reviews since opening the submission form in mid-November. They have provided feedback to submitters, negotiated, and collaborated with initiative leaders to refine their ideas. Representation on ecosystem calls has ensured alignment of the bounty’s goals with broader Polkadot initiatives.
Looking Ahead
The Marketing Bounty will finalize active RFPs, onboard strategic partners, and prepare for December campaign launches. Engagement with Polkadot stakeholders and ecosystem projects will remain central to maximizing impact and driving adoption.
